Series: Christian inspiration for Youth Series ; No. 1.

“Mama, what IS light?” Join Mila and mama as they explore the answer to this question in Holy Scripture and in the world, around them through science. The first book in the, “Genesis: His word and His works” series builds a much-needed bridge for youth between the science they learn in school and the Orthodox Christian faith through which their lives are lived. With important mid elementary science standards embedded in the story, Mila and mama make observations, conduct experiments, draw conclusions and engage in other elements of the scientific process all of which lead them to greater appreciation for and glorification of God’s gift of creation. Alisa Rakich Brooks is a member of St. Peter the Apostle Serbian Orthodox Church in Fresno, CA.

Very sweet book. December 18, 2018

As a homeschooling mom I was thrilled to find this book.  The art work is beautiful, story sweet.  I’m going to order a prism or two to have to experiment with for when I read them the book.  I can’t wait till the second book is back in stock.

Reviewer: Elissa Bjeletich from N/A
"This sweet book truly is a light in this dark, secularized world where science has been positioned in opposition to religion...This book firmly positions science as the joyful inquiry into God's glorious creation...one of the many means by which all creation praises Him".
